The Honda FIT: Drive By Gas Stations and Laugh

When the brand new 2015 Honda Fit landed at Crown Honda back in September, the sales staff had a party.

And why not? According to U.S. News and World Report, the 2015 Honda Fit ranks No. 1 in affordable small cars, No. 2 in hatchbacks and No. 1 in affordable subcompact cars.

“The 2015 Honda Fit ranks 1 out of 40 Affordable Small Cars,” wrote the U.S. News and World Report panel of experts. “This ranking is based on our analysis of published reviews and test drives of the Honda Fit, as well as reliability and safety data.
“Abundant cargo space, a roomy back seat and a comfortable ride make the redesigned 2015 Honda Fit a standout among small hatchbacks. It also has superb fuel economy ratings.
“Critics agree that the four-cylinder Honda Fit feels quicker than many subcompact cars, though some note that the engine is noisy in some situations. Reviewers think that the standard six-speed manual transmission makes the 2015 Fit fun to drive, while the optional continuously variable transmission (CVT) is generally smooth and responsive. Equipped with the CVT, the base Fit gets an EPA-estimated 33/41 mpg city/highway, which is superb for the class. Most reviewers say that the 2015 Fit handles nimbly, but isn’t as athletic or fun to drive as the outgoing model. That said, they agree that the ride is noticeably more comfortable, and that the redesigned Fit feels more composed at highway speeds.”

Crown Honda general manager Wade Lee is thrilled to have the 2015 Fits on the lot. In fact, when asked about it, Wade couldn’t hide his excitement.

“The 2015 Honda Fits are here!” he exclaimed. “It’s completely redesigned and full of the latest technology, the Honda Fit is unrivaled in its class. Combined with Honda’s reputation for bulletproof reliability and second to none resale value, you simply can’t go wrong.

“In fact, when you drive by gas stations you can laugh when you’re behind the wheel of the fuel sipping Honda Fit.”
